Combined BSPS & Master’s in Public Health (4+1)
Combined BSPS & Master’s in Public Health (4+1)
Students apply to one of three concentrations in the MPH program during the spring term of their third year of the BSPS curriculum. Concentrations include Family and Community Health, Biostatistics, or Epidemiology.
Considerations
Cumulative Grade Point Average from most recently conferred undergraduate, graduate, or professional degree:
- Five or equivalent (A=4.0)
- Applicants will follow the fall admissions deadline requirements and apply in the spring of their junior year. Students who do not meet the fall deadline requirements can apply to begin the 4+1 in the spring of their senior year.
Structure
During the senior year of the BSPS curriculum students in the 4+1 program will utilize six credit hours of our required Pharmacy Selectives and nine credit hours of our program electives to meet the 15 hours of MPH coursework. Upon successful completion of their senior year, students will graduate with the BSPS degree and continue with the MPH degree. This saves one year of graduate level tuition!
