Meet the Director

Marie Martin-Murphy serves as the Director of Educational Opportunities and Student Success in Purdue’s College of Pharmacy. She holds a bachelor’s degree in organizational behavior studies from Rollins College and a master’s degree in counseling psychology from Nova Southeastern University. Before joining Purdue, Marie worked in student affairs management at Montgomery College in Maryland. Born in the Bahamas to Haitian immigrant parents, Marie’s culturally rich heritage fuels her dedication to creating inclusive and supportive learning environments. She is passionate about helping students from all backgrounds achieve academic and personal success.

EOSS Programs

The Office of Educational Opportunities and Student Success offers two flagship programs:

  • First Year Experience Peer Mentoring Program – This program is designed to help first-year students acclimate to student life at Purdue University and, more specifically, the College of Pharmacy. The program fosters a peer-mentoring relationship in which the mentor and mentee can learn together. Learn more
  • Pharmacy Education Program – This program is a residential summer orientation program designed to welcome first-generation students to the university. It is open to all rising first-year students during the summer months leading up to their freshman year. It offers the opportunity to transition to student life. Learn more
