The Purdue for Life Foundation has appointed Devin Rittenhouse as executive director of development for the Purdue University College of Pharmacy, effective Aug. 24.
Rittenhouse joins the college with extensive experience in development and philanthropy, where he has built meaningful partnerships, advanced strategic initiatives and connected supporters with opportunities to make a lasting impact.
Most recently, Rittenhouse served Purdue’s Mitch Daniels School of Business, working with donors, alumni and academic leaders to advance the school’s priorities and secure significant philanthropic investments. His professional experience prior to Purdue includes roles with Johns Hopkins University & Medicine, The Henry Ford and other mission-driven institutions.
“I’m excited to build relationships with the alumni, donors and friends who care so deeply about Purdue Pharmacy and to learn what inspires their connection to the college,” Rittenhouse said. “I look forward to listening, learning and working alongside our community to connect their passions with opportunities that make a meaningful difference for students, faculty and the future of pharmacy. I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve Purdue in this new capacity and excited about what we can accomplish together.”
As executive director of development, Rittenhouse will lead the College of Pharmacy’s development efforts and work closely with alumni, donors, faculty and friends to advance the college’s priorities in education, research and innovation. He also will support Purdue’s One Health mission, which aims to address complex challenges with real-world impact at the intersection of human, animal and plant health.
“Throughout his career, Devin has earned a reputation for thoughtful relationship-building, collaborative problem-solving and a genuine commitment to the missions of the organizations he has served,” said Eric Barker, Purdue’s vice president for health affairs and Jeannie and Jim Chaney Dean of Pharmacy. “His enthusiasm for Purdue, donor-centered approach and commitment to building strong partnerships position him to help strengthen Pharmacy’s philanthropic efforts and support our continued growth and impact.”
Rittenhouse will work alongside Senior Development Officer Katie Skeel and Development Officer Carrie Bright as part of the College of Pharmacy’s advancement team. Together, they partner with alumni and donors to understand their philanthropic goals and connect them with opportunities to support Purdue Pharmacy.
