I appreciate the respect and prestige my Purdue Pharmacy education receives from individuals all over the world, especially in the nuclear Pharmacy Industry. I am also very thankful for the incredible support and guidance I continually receive from Purdue faculty and Alumni, who are always eager to help.

- Managed a network of 60 Nuclear Pharmacies. Working in operations, supply chain and sales made me well rounded and contributed to successes later in my career.
- Participated in the Strategic Investment by Jubilant into SOFIE, securing capital for growth and ultimately creating a path to lead operations at SOFIE as the Chief Operating Officer. Jubilant realized a 5x return on their investment in 3 years.

- Led the commercial launch of Pylarify at SOFIE, hiring 100 new employees in 12 months and securing 95% of the PSMA market share in our service area.
- Built a dynamic, best-in-class team of people I’ve worked with over my 18-year career to develop and deliver theranostics to as many patients as possible.
Brian Schumer graduated with his Doctor of Pharmacy from Purdue University in 2007. Since graduating, he has become an influential industry leader in radiopharmaceuticals and has played a key role in developing and advancing premier radiopharmacy and manufacturing networks based on a culture of excellence. He currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer for SOFIE, a top-ranked nationwide radiopharmacy and contract manufacturing organization.
Dr. Schumer gained hands-on experience in commercial nuclear pharmacy as a Pharmacy Manager, the Head of Supply Chain, and the Vice President of Operations for Triad Isotopes. These experiences allowed Brian to create his style of leadership and management based in teamwork, autonomy and creative thinking. His success with the cultures he created led him to the position of Interim President of Jubilant Radiopharmacies and now as the COO of SOFIE. His successes in management are not only because of his strategic mindset or his deep operational expertise, but his humor and humility, which allows him to establish rapport with customers, industry partners, and colleagues.
Brian continuously seeks opportunities to drive performance, increase revenue, and improve profitability. He is skilled at engineering and implementing both operational metrics to improve efficiency and performance-based incentives. He doesn’t achieve all of this on his own, however. Brian has hired, developed, and empowered his team members to do the same, leading to a strong and talented team who value and deeply respect Brian as not only a leader but as a mentor and friend. Brian is passionate about learning and development and leading his team members to success, even in times of uncertainty and crisis.
A true adventurer in every sense of the word, Brian enjoys life to the fullest with his four sons: Nicholas, Dominic, Dmitri, and Thanasi. Golfing, skiing with friends and family, fishing trips with his dad, and camping are some of his favorites, but his most memorable adventures are all the trips and time spent with his boys.
