I attended Purdue from 1975 to 1981. After graduation, I married Maria Bowman who is also a Distinguished Alumni from the Purdue College of Pharmacy. We have three children who all graduated from Purdue, and we are blessed with five grandchildren.
I started work in various roles in 1973 at the Hook Drug Company, becoming a pharmacist for them in 1981. While still working with Hook’s, I became involved in new store implementation and computerized order entry implementation in their stores.
In 1985, I moved to become Director of Pharmacy for Major Health Partners. In 1993 I became the Hospital’s Chief Information Officer and began implementation of a clinical information system for the Hospital.
After serving five years in the CIO role, I became the Chief Operating Officer. This role led to my current position of President and Chief Executive Officer. In my 17 years as President and CEO, we have grown to over 1,400 employees with annual revenues of more than $273,000,000. We have more than 100 employed physicians and our medical campus sees over 400,000 patient visits annually.
Golf is my favorite hobby. I also enjoy attending Purdue basketball and football games. My week would not be complete without spending some time with my family enjoying our grandkids’ activities.
