Alumni Award Nominations
The Purdue University College of Pharmacy annually honors outstanding achievements of alumni whose contributions have been impactful in advancing the field of pharmacy. The college accepts nominations throughout the year on a rolling basis, for the following awards:
Distinguished Alumni Award
The prestigious Distinguished Pharmacy Alumni Award was initiated in 1984. The award is annually conferred upon selected graduates of the Purdue University College of Pharmacy, in recognition of their outstanding achievements in professional and/or scientific endeavors. Award criteria:
- Graduate of the Purdue University College of Pharmacy
- Leadership and participation in activities to advance the profession of pharmacy or the pharmaceutical sciences
- Demonstrate major accomplishments in professional pharmacy practice or in pharmaceutical sciences research
- Commitment of time, talent, or financial support to benefit the Purdue College of Pharmacy or the broader university
Nominate an Alumnus for the Distinguished Alumni Award
Outstanding Early Career Award
The Outstanding Early Career Award was established in 2019 to recognize alumni of the Purdue College of Pharmacy who have graduated within the last 10 years. Award criteria:
- Show promise and innovation in his/her chosen business, profession, or field
- Exemplify outstanding integrity
- Demonstrate service or a continuing interest to the College through volunteering, teaching, philanthropy, and/or precepting
Nominate an Alumnus for the Outstanding Early Career Award
Eaton Entrepreneurial Award
Lyman D. Eaton II (BS ’74) and Joyce A. Eaton established the Eaton Entrepreneur of the Year Award for a Purdue College of Pharmacy alumnus who has excelled in entrepreneurial activities during their career. Award criteria:
- The winner must have excelled in the area of entrepreneurial activity by starting or growing a company/commercial enterprise in a significant manner.
- The Dean of the College of Pharmacy and/or his/her nominee will determine the winner.
- The winner must be able to travel to campus and receive the award and deliver a lecture relating to entrepreneurial activity to the Dean’s Executive Forum class in the spring semester.
