The Purdue University College of Pharmacy has announced key leadership updates within its advancement team, reinforcing the college’s commitment to strong alumni engagement and philanthropic growth.

Travis Smith, who has served the college since 2022, was named lead fundraiser. In this role, Smith oversees all development efforts and partnerships that advance the college’s mission and support its students, faculty and programs. He previously served as managing director of development for the college, as well as health, life, and computational sciences. Smith has been instrumental in cultivating alumni and donor relationships that strengthen Purdue Pharmacy’s impact.

The college also welcomes back Katie Skeel, who has returned to Purdue Pharmacy as director of development. Skeel previously served the college from 2015 to 2022 before assuming a role in donor relations. She brings a wealth of experience in higher education advancement. Her strong record of donor engagement and relationship-building will continue to foster meaningful connections among alumni and friends of the college.

Development Officer Carrie Bright continues to support the college’s fundraising initiatives and alumni outreach. Together, Smith, Skeel and Bright lead efforts to expand opportunities for philanthropic investment in the college’s students, research and facilities.

Donor Relations and Support

The college has added Krista Kingery as donor relations specialist. Kingery manages donor recognition and stewardship activities, including events, acknowledgments, and campaign support.

Alumni Relations, Special Events, and Communications

Jennifer Stewart-Burton, senior communications manager, directs marketing and communication efforts for the college, including alumni engagement promotion. She joined Purdue Pharmacy nearly three years ago after 12 years with Purdue’s College of Agriculture and four years in the utilities industry.
